Our co-founder Jane Melia recently joined a panel with a title that says it all: "Creating Our Future: Reshaping, Reinventing, & Just Doing It Differently." Which, if we’re honest, could double as her job description.
The panel at the ATHENA Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit in LA brought together an incredible group of leaders across industries—Qiana Patterson, Managing Partner at Nayah and a force in inclusive innovation and venture; Dr. Jessica Hutcheson, VP of Learning and Development at ChargerHelp! with deep roots in education and workforce development; and Talitha Watkins, President at ColorCreative, whose work amplifies underrepresented voices in Hollywood and beyond; and our own Jane Melia, co-founder of Harvest (that’s us), bringing a climate tech lens to the conversation with her bold, systems-driven approach to innovation.
Each panelist brought a different lens to the idea of building better systems—from investing and workforce equity to creative industries and climate tech. Jane fit right in with her sharp systems thinking and bold approach to doing business differently.
A few highlights from Jane and the panelists:
We’re proud to be part of a growing number of women reshaping what leadership looks like in tech and climate. Big thanks to the ATHENA community for creating space for these conversations—and for reminding us that reinvention is a team sport.
The room was full of smart, scrappy, mission-driven women. Jane fit right in.
