Hi! Itâs us, Harvest. We know, we look different. Weâve evolved into a truer version of ourselves and we wanted to tell you a little bit about our new look, and some plans for the new year.
New name. Well, kind of. Weâre just shortening everything to Harvest since brevity is the soul of wit, and weâre firm believers that everyone needs a bit more wit to make life sparkle in 2024 and beyond. Weâre still a smart thermal battery company, of course - and harvesting cheap, clean energy still is our main gig.
âNew look (in case you didnât already notice). Harvest is growing. As we grow, so does our impact on cutting carbon emissions - and we want to make sure we look good for the next phase of our journey.
And letâs be honest: it takes a little while to wrap your brain around how and why a smart thermal battery can save you money and carbon. Our new look is all about making our technology more accessible, so we can tell our story more succinctly to more people - and achieve our mission to bring sustainable homes for a livable planet to everyone.
Even our Pod (she/her) got a little makeover. We think she looks great.
Smarterbrain. The latest version of the Pod now comes with an EcoPort. Whatâs that mean? It means Harvest can accept a variety of wireless modules that connect it directly with your utility. EcoPort future-proofs your HVAC, empowering you to participate in the clean, dynamic electric grid of the future. More importantly, EcoPort makes your system eligible for $5,300 in incentives from the TECH HPWH program. Smart, eh?
âNew friends. KB Home chose Harvestâs smart thermal battery for a pilot in Manteca, CA. KB is  one of Americaâs largest homebuilders, and a leader in residential sustainability. Harvest will help KB make its homes cleaner, more affordable, and more comfortable for new homebuyers.
Installed in the model home of Villa Ticino Development, the system will be in testing to observe how Harvest plugs into KBâs tried and tested construction process. Â The pilot will allow Harvest to fine-tune our systems and processes to the implementation needs of high-volume builders like KB.
We hope you are excited about all our changes because we spent a lot of time thinking about you when we made them. If you like them, let us know. If you donât, tell someone else. Actually, wait, just tell us what you think either way. We can handle it.
May your 2023 find you comfy in your bed with visions of sustainability dancing in your head! Â Weâll see you on the flip.
